"Makes Me Happy Monday" warning this post has a sex scene!!!

Hello,

Happy Monday to you. I hope you survived the storm we had yesterday if you are from West Australia. Can't believe that the weather people didn't know that was coming. We had some sheets of iron flying around the place,very windy and lots of rain. I think they may have fallen asleep on the job after all the excitement of the West Coast Eagles winning the footy on Saturday night. Cousin Darren and his boys are of to the east coast next week,fingers crossed big time for them.

I am happy that Ainsley and Julian came for a visit yesterday. Mind you they had to drive through a hail storm to get here!!!! They had watched the new Smurf movie in the morning and loved it. Remember the Smurfs from the 80's. You used to be able to buy one of the figurines a week.


I finished the Milk Jug Cover last night. I had purchased a packet of glass beads from Spotlight a while back. The packet was only a dollar and had plenty of beads in. They are made in India and each is a little different. I sometimes wonder how craft companies can justify the prices they charge. If I only paid a dollar how much did the people in India get paid to make these beads. I suppose this is where mass production comes in.


I am happy to re-purpose items in the home. The little vase that is holding the flowers was originally held a candle. I thought it was to pretty to throw out and it suits being a vase now.

Oh I suppose you are wondering about the sex scene?

    Aaaarghh... I raced through your post to find the sex scene.... horrible stinky bugs... I remember having one in my berries once... yeuch..... but the jug cover is lovely... so I went back to recuperate from that nasty scene... I may be damaged .... more than before....

    The thought of a sex scene with stink bugs is almost too much!

    Love your little doily with the beads, very English garden elegant.

    We've had lightning strikes and hail this afternoon but were warned they were coming. The hail arrived very quickly and I was lucky to be able to stop before driving off the road.

    No storm here this weekend...beautiful days, let's hope it holds out for the school holidays this time...the last one was just rain, rain and more rain!!!     Yes I too wonder about how much people in the developing world are paid for the goods they make... especially when you think how much each person in tacks on in the sales process.

    Hello Bev, yes we survived the storm, was driving at the time, got pretty hairy at one point! Love your photos and doilies and the pretty flowers. I remember the Smurf's well, think we will be off to watch the movie these coming holidays. As for the sex scene hmmm, you always know how to make us smile! Enjoy the rest of your week.

    Our weather people here do the same thing. Good to hear about the rain, but the wind I can do without. That is one thing that scares me. Sounds like you had a wonderful Winter Garden and good luck with your Spring/Summer. What a beautiful tray of loveliness. A beautiful cover you did and the beads are perfect for it.
