"Tenderness."

Hello and a big "Happy Monday" to you.

Today we have a holiday here in Western Australia. Nothing like a long weekend to make you happy. The rest of Australia has to wait until next weekend for there Labour Day holiday.

This week I am happy to have completed a crochet doily. I have started going back to a crochet group that meets every Tuesday morning. Thoroughly enjoying the outing and company.



The group has stacks of  "Crochet Monthly" magazines to get patterns from. I chose this one called "Tenderness".


Marina kindly sent me the cotton last year. Thanks so much Marina, it is being put to good use. This was crocheted  with a size 20 cotton which took 20 grams to make up and I used a 1.25 hook.

No spiders to scare you this week.


 I do have a photo of the view we get from our home each evening.


It is that time of the year when we are blessed with beautiful sunsets each night.

    So there you are, Bev!

    I haven't seen any post from you for three weeks and was starting to wonder what you were up to! But today all your posts are all back - go figure! I make those bath bombs, but mainly to put in my drawers, etc as I only have a shower. And I had the same problem here when I went to buy some Alum powder!

    I want to join Ian for some of that Banana Cake! :)

    your doily is just gorgeous. I have bought a few issues of crochet monthly in the past and love to use the patterns. I must say that if I tell 'non crafters' that I bought a mag called 'crochet monthly' they look at me so pathetically. lol I am so glad I have crafty friends who have the same interests!

    Hi Bev, you did a great job on the pink doily. I have the exact same one, only in white. My Grandma did lots of crochet before passing away, and she made some beautiful things for me. Sadly I never really appreciated them all that much when I was younger. I really treasure what remains, now that I am older. Love the quilt in the background, those colours are my absoloute favourite. Hope you are finding some way of staying cool!

    Good on you for crochting Bev...I only ever really tried once...The sunset is absolutely stunning...I love it...what a scene it must make for a 'sundowner'...do you have those...I read that in a Di Morrissey novel...

    Yay for a 3-day weekend! Lovely crochet doily, especially in such a soft pink color. Sounds like a fun group to hang out with and learn from.

    The doily is lovely.... such delicate stitches... and so is the sunset... I just love watching them - they are different all the time... You got me all excited about a long weekend... Qld (gotta be Qld) is waiting till May!!!

    I have to have a giggle Bev as I started a doiley a few years back and never finished it until today, but turned it into a Jug Cover...the pattern Tenderness!(Can you believe???)
    I have only just finished attaching the beads and having a blogging break when I noticed your pretty doiley! Lol!
