" 5 times 5 does equal 25."

Hello,

There is nothing better to stitch with a friend,
To soothe away tensions and help you unbend,
To stitch and to natter is such a treat,
So come with a friend, or there is new one's to meet,
Bring your needles and thread and whatever is needed,
And time will fly by, your troubles unheeded.


Yes you guessed right, I am joining in Friday Night Sew In this Friday.


I have this bag  pattern that I want to make up from a Homespun magazine,using some American themed tapestry fabric.


 The rose pruning has begun here at Kainga, would you believe that this is the pruning's from just one rose, the Mutubilis rose is a stunning rose with multi -coloured blooms.


5 times 5 does equal 25. 5 stitches across by 5 rows down does make for lots of stitching time. Yes, I decided to do the checkerboard edging including the sunflower this last week. Then it is time to stitch the Sheep that will be in the West block. Then the fun part! back stitching.

    Lovely verse Bev, I have copied it down. Yes I have mutabulis rose also & it is prolific though probably not as rampant as yours :-) Your x-stitch is coming together well. Happy stitching Bev, Julie

    You have been very busy Bev. Those x-stitches must take all your time. I used to do them too. Love the farm theme on them! Rose pruning for us too, but we only just got back from NZ so will leave it for a few weeks.

    Bev that fabric will be great for the bag design, & yes it's great that FNSI is back up again!
    How cold is it at yours? And how did you survive tuesday? we are good here, thank goodness.
    The cross stitch is coming really well, are you impressed that I have been doing some too?! LOL

    Hello Bev you work looks wonderful, the bag is lovely and the cross stitch I love it. The weather over here is good at the moment, a lot of sunshine it's really summer time. At this moment we had some visit from Australia, we had a great time today it's a year ago when we where at your country, we had a great time, it is unbelievable that's a year ago. When I had a lot of money then I like it to go for a second time en maybe more. I wish you a great weekend, enjoy the time and I hope the weather is good at your place. We had contact with our friends in Shepparton but there was some rain. But i think at your place is the weather much more better than around Melbourne or I'm wrong.     Yes, I do believe those clippings came from one rose bush. The mutabilis is a beautiful full bush and I would love to put one in my garden area, but it is too large of a bush. Love the simple petals of it too. Your cross stitch is beautiful. Another art work for the your home. thanks for your comment and I hope my new additions will thrive well.
