Lavender Sellers’s Cry, London England CA 1900
Hello,
I hope you are enjoying the start to the weekend.
Wednesday I decided to have a go at making soap. I had everything I needed to make it. Some Caustic Soda, Olive Oil, Copha and Rainwater. It worked.
Here it is just after I poured the mixture into a lined baking dish. I had some dried lavender on hand. I used lavender heads from my Oiling Grosso Lavender, When the Lavender was put on top of the soap mix the heads greened up again until they dried.
When I make the next batch I will add some lavender etc to the mix. This time I just wanted to make sure it worked.
Happy days.

looks like fun! I've always wanted to try making soap, but never make time for it. These will be fun to try once they are cured and dried.
Wow Bev, the soap looks terrific. I must admit I thought it was something delicious to eat at first too.. he he. The lavender was a great idea. Making soap is something I'd like to have a go at too. Well done.

It does look good enough to eat! I'm sure it smells divine!
I thought you'd made cakes when I first saw the photo. That's better than my cooking that sometimes looks and tastes like soap!
That does look like cake, Bev. A soap cake rather than a cake of soap. Bet it smells wonderful.
Oh my! That looks so lush. Rainwater! Brilliant. Such a special touch. So luxurious, so special. Mmmm... I'm smiling just imagining the fragrant smell.
It does look good enough to eat, such a lovely idea!
I am sure this smells as lovely as it looks!

You clever girl Bev. Well done. I love lavender. Love it's smell. Love to stitch it, draw it paint it. Rub it on etc. etc.
I was definately thinking cake before I read on.
I'm sure it will be just as lovely to bath with :)
