Hello,
I joined in Friday-Night-Sew-In for the first time for the year. I got my pieces cut out and a about a hour and a half sewing done on Friday night. It was getting late so I decided to stop before I made to many mistakes.
During Saturday I completed sewing the rows together. This Brickwork pattern is so great because you don't have to match seams. I used up every piece of the "Spencer Museum" charm pack that I received from Melody No wastage with this pattern. I used a brown/grey coloured thread to do the cross hatching quilting on the top. The measurements for the runner are 45 inches by 16 inches. Backing.binding and wadding were left over from the tablecloth I recently completed. Have to use up whats on hand. Another finish to add to the OPAM challenge. I hope you had a productive sew-in.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Looks like a productive Friday night and weekend. When it gets too late and I start to make mistakes, I force myself to stop and finish the next day. Things always look better with a good night of rest. Love that you finished this tablerunner so quickly!
There is always a sense of achievment when you make something from scraps. Scrappy projects are my favourites. Your table runner is lovely and so is the pattern.
Bev, that is so warm and cosy looking, makes me think of a kitchen smelling of pumpkin soup and toast.
That's a pretty tablerunner. Great FNSI result.

I really like that brickwork pattern Bev - it looks great and the fabrics are gorgeous. You did the right thing stopping when you were tired though sometimes we have to force ourselves to do that don't we! Love the finished piece.
Love your table runner. The colors are gorgeous!
Lovely table runner! Often I like the 'simpleness' of a quilt. You can see the fabrics perfectly then!
Love the background you used for the picture.
