"Tuesday's Treasures" and "That little bit of Joy"

Hello

Today my treasure is something that I am sure no one else is showing today.

Can you guess what I am treasuring today. A hint it is not the rose though I do treasure that. A couple of weekends ago there was a gymkhana on the oval at the local showgrounds. Ian and I went and picked a up a couple of bags of Manure!!! That is my treasure today. See how happy the roses are. Melody is hosting Tuesday's Treasures, give her a visit I am sure she has the kettle ready for you.

Now for another update on those things in life that bring a bit of joy to us.

Last week when we were in Busselton we had a light lunch at "The Old Post Office Tea Shop. It was so lovely to receive such wonderful service. When my pot of tea came out Brenda the owner put a egg timer on the table with everything else and turned it over. So I knew when my tea would be brewed. Just beautiful and something that I haven't seen before. The milk came in a little glass bottle like those bottles of milk that we used to get at recess at school many many years ago. It was an absolute "Joy" to have lunch at this establishment. Brenda told us that there was no need to hurry and we were welcome to just sit. I managed to get three cups of tea out of the pot. Oh and the best part I had the most stunning tea cup  and sauucer with roses on it. Yes I looked to see where it was made - England. Brenda also does high teas which I would love to do one day.

I would love to know what  "joy" has come your way lately.
Happy days.
Bev C

Your tea venue sounds delightful. I agree animal manure is a treasure on your garden beds.
Because we have friends with horses we bring home a load or two a couple of times a year. It's also fantastic in the compost heap. Helps speed things up.
Thanks for being part of Tuesday Treasures this week.

Isn't it fun playing ladies;o)
Something that has given me joy this week would have to be the purchase of two new trees a dwarf apple and a flowering cherry, I can't wait for spring when I'm sure they'll bring even more joy!

The tea shop sounds lovely, Bev. I don't think I've seen one of those little milk bottles since I left primary school. They must be real treasures.
My joy today was having my baby grandson wake up in my home. Luckily he was in another room and the adjoining door was closed!

The tea shop sounds just lovely. What is it about tea in a china cup. Particularly a pretty rose one. I am so pleased your lovely roses are getting their little dose of joy too.

Well - what can I say?
Not quite sure that "beautiful, gorgeous or precious" are the correct words for this treasure. Although it is a wonderful treasure.
Maybe I need to get some back on my roses, they are stagnant.

Your tea house seems delightful, it will definitely be going on our "to visit" list.

Hi Bev, nice to see another WA blogger / crafter. With our sandy soil we certainly value good poo! The tea shop sounds like they have spoiling their guests down to a fine art. I'll have to remember that next time I am in Busso. Tracee xx

Wonderful things to bring you joy today! Gorgeous roses. Cool story with your tea also. I am happy today for the sunshine and warmer temps we are having. It's fun finding spring bulbs coming up through the thawing ground.

Hi Bev,
That is a joy to the garden and would make any gardener happy. My joy, the larger roses have nice buds and a few of the minis have bloomed. Spring is just around the corner and can't wait to be out in the yard and enjoy another garden year.
Have a wonderful day and week!

Only a gardener, LOL! I share your joy of manure. No one ever believed me when I told them what I REALLY wanted!

Your rose is enjoying that manure! Your tea shop experience sounds like a place I would like to visit. I've always wanted to do a high tea but haven't experienced that yet...one day!

Yes Bev. Your roses look very very happy because of compost addition. I truly love the color of this pretty pink rose. Hugs Judy
