This is my first ever post on a leap year day. So this month with the extra day I was able to finish my first Cross Stitch Christmas Tree Ornament. Pretty excited about this finish for OPAM (One Project a Month) I hope to do some more like this.
The pattern is a freebie available from Helga's blog.
I was hoping to get a picture of Clyde for Tuesday's Treasures.
We have a pet outside too.
It is that time of the year when the Golden Orb spiders are out. There web is golden and it is built like a fortress.
Happy days.

Oh MY. I hope those spiders aren't poisonous. They look completely creepy and scary, and oddly beautiful at the same time! Ick. I loved the part about giving the mice eating a miss. lol Great Christmas ornament! xo Happy Leap Day!
Love the cross stitch ... so pretty... and Clyde looks very very content.... not keen on spiders... not at all and those golden webs go all over my citrus trees... not keen on spiders... you see you have made me in a panic....

love the indoor pet but not the outdoor pet as much!
Lovely cross stitch it is a cute as pattern.
Golden orbs spiders are true artists aren't they. Love seeing them in their webs as long as they stay there. Love your frosty fellow cross stitch and I agree let's all be a Clyde.
It's taken you four years to get this post written? Please don't wait sooo long for the next one!~ LOL :)
Love your Orbs I have a few around here too.
Love your cross stitch.
What a lovely Christmas ornament. Thank you for the link!
We often say the same of Bibi, wanting to be her in a second life. Sleeping and getting really spoilt (o:
Leave the other pet far away from me. I am definitely not the spider kind of girl...
Wow, that is a big, nasty spider! I don't think I've ever seen one so big and plumb and juicy. (shivers) Adorable picture of Clyde! My hubby and I have agreed we both want to come back in our next life as a cat. Nice to see all the cute stitchery projects keeping you busy these days!
Right in time for Christmas ;-))
Lovely cross stitch Bev. Clyde seems a happy cat. Who would not like a life like that? Your outdoor pet is pretty as well. I used to be scared of spiders but since we lived in Australia I am only scared of BIG spiders now.
So that's what that spider is called. We have them in our garden just now too. I'm going to make comment on that next time I'm in the garden with my love and blow him away with how smarty pants I am. Thanks!!!
Clyde looks like he enjoys a life of leisure! Next time you photograph one of those spiders, could you put a Coca-Cola can next to it so we can see which is larger? lol

Sweet Christmas ornament!
I'm okay with spiders as long as they stay outside and I don't accidentally run into them face first causing me to instantly become a karate expert with lots of yelling. LOL!
We have a similar spider that builds their webs around here in September each year.
