Hello and Welcome to Tuesday's Treasures.
This week we are enjoying the fruits of our labour and enjoying our very own homegrown Treasure.
We are picking fresh tomatoes. We planted a few plants of a tomato called "Principe Borghese" and another variety called "Beefsteak". Unfortunately the "Beefsteak" didn't eventuate, the labels must have got mixed up and we got another smaller variety. Which probably was OK because with less people at home the smaller variety is great for popping into salads. I treasure the taste of organic home grown fruit.
To see what other Treasure's are being showcased this week, please check in with Melody at House on the side of the Hill. Thank you for hosting this special day Melody.
Happy days.

Oh, you make me want summer to come. Tomatoes from the garden are wonderful. Those little ones sure aren't the Beefsteak kind. lol
Oh there is nothing like the taste of a home-grown tomato.
Oooh, they look delicious. We've had such weird weather mine are all still green. Thank you so much for being part of Tuesday Treasures and showing us the product of your green thumbs.
MMmmm Yum!! Have one for me. They look delicious.

Hi Bev!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New year!
Just catching up on everyone online and so glad to see you are all well after our wild week of crazy weather in WA. Your photos of the storm a few posts back are absolutely amazing ! We have extended family who lost their roofs and had alot of property damage in Brookton, and now friends that have been evacuated in QLD. Where did all this crazy weather come from!
Your tomatoes look perfect, nothing sweeter than a home grown tomato and mayo sandwich :o)!
Hugs!

They look delicious Bev - there is nothing quite like the taste of home grown goodies.
Tomatoes are the food of gods. Oh well, at least they are to me. Thank you for sharing your treasure.
Tomatoes and lettuce... In Argentina it`s six o`clock pm., but...¡mmm! I`m hungry... ¡Ja! ¡Ja!
Oh Bev, you lucky! Garden fresh tomatoes....mmmmmmmm!
I have one word for you: snow. With several inches of snow on the ground, I'm having great difficulty imagining summer veggies. Not to mention the additional 9-16 inches of snow expected between 10 PM tonight and 10 PM tomorrow night.
Enjoy!
What a wonderful treasure.
Our beefsteak didn't eventuate at all. No fruit from them and our Grosse Lisse has produce a very small amount of tiny fruit, almost Tom Thumb size. They have not been at all impressed with this crazy weather.
oh so fresh and yummy, nothing like homegrown!
Yummy, tomatoes. They look beautiful Bev. Enjoy!
Your tomatoes lokk great, I bet they taste great too. I've got tomatoes, cucumber and squash in my vegie garden as well, most other crops died in all the rains we have had in SE Qld.
