"It is time to drink Champagne and dance on the table."

Hello,

Yes it is time to drink Champagne and dance on the table. I have been sewing.

I have joined up more of the hexagons for my long term project, called A Country Garden. Lots more to do on this.

I had this flour bag in the sewing room stuffed full of off cuts from binding, scraps and even a stitchery or two.

Last week I set to and pulled out the fabric and ironed it and started cutting up pieces into 2.5 inch squares, half square 2 inch finished triangles and 4.5 inch squares.

Something to work on in between projects. I have no idea what I will make but the idea is to use up all this fabric in scrappy projects. I wonder how many "Flour bag projects I will get done?"

Happy days.
Bev C

No champers for me at the moment, I have a rotten cold!
The scrap projects will be interesting, can't wait to see how they come along.
Good to see you have not been blown away yet!

Hi Bev ... sorry I missed your last post so just playing catchup :-)
Your hexies are beautiful, theres something timeless about hexies. Your scrap projects look most interesting and as for that flour sack ... that would make a gorgeous dollies apron!!!!! Happy champagne drinking to you - hugs, julie x0x

It fun going through some old scraps from prior projects. A good way of using them up. I have a small bag of yo-yo's. Maybe one day I will attach them together.
For the past few days, we have had some nice cooler weather. Nice to have to windows opened up for a change.
Have a lovely day.

Hello Bev, I do love your hexagon project - just my colours! It is going to be wonderful and your scrappy project sounds good. I have a couple of boxes of scraps cut into different size squares that I can dip into when I need a quick project. xx

Champagne! Bunk up... I'm on my way. Don't drink it all before I get there :o) Your hexies are gorgeous.. so is the project they're part of. Good idea to tackle those scraps... I've a plan to sew up all the old stash I'm fed up looking at in just the same way.... great minds think alike! :o)

Hello Bev, I absolutely adore your Country Garden hexie quilt. The colours are delightful & look exactly that..summer borders crammed full of colour-full, fragrant blooms. I look forward to seeing it's eventual completion. Much love Catherine x0x0x
