Happy Monday.
Last week I made for the first time some ricotta cheese. It was so easy, if you can make custard you can do this too. I read Madeleine's blog and she posts lots of healthy things and was quite impressed with her post so decided to have a go. First, I made sure that all the equipment including the muslin was clean and sterile.
I was left with nearly 6 cups of whey. So a quick look online found a lovely bread recipe at Terri's blog. I can safely say that the family all said "This is the best bread they have tasted."
Happy to be making more produce here at Kainga. The best thing is it achievable by anyone and there is no packaging.
Happy days.

Your bread looks yummy! I think I may have to try to make some of that! :0)
That looks wonderful Bev! I should really get my act together as my Son bought me a Cheesemaking Kit for Christmas and I haven't used it yet! Your bread looks yummy!

OMG that all looks so YUMMY... I will be having a go at that one very soon xxx
Wow, this was so cool to follow along with your process. Looks so delicious! What a treat to be able to do this at home.
Wow, good for you. I've never made cheese. Looks like you had a productive time and it was nice of your family to compliment your skills.
Yum Bev. All looks so tasty. Hugs,xx
Wow! Very impressive and obviously very delicious!
ohhhh, looks yummy!!
Happy week!
I'm so glad your liked the bread! Thanks for the mention. I'm going to have to try your addition of seeds. My husband loves a bread with a lot of texture. Great idea!
I bet your house was smelling delish!! my daughter Hannah just made ricotta cheese...so I'm planning lasagna for Thursday night's meal. I've almost gotten past the age to have fun experimenting, so it's good to have an adult daughter who loves to try things still at home! I hope your ricotta tastes great!
I'm on my way :-) such yummy looking bread. Once life settles down a little my kitchen will be becoming my favorite room :-)
I wish you didn't live so far away, because I'd love to stop by and help you finish off that bread and cheese....
What beautiful looking bread and a great treat for your family. That is one of my down falls. I love bread and all kinds. Making your own ricotta cheese too. How fun.
Have a wonderful week.
Wow you are very productive! I love making bread, but hadn't done any of that lately - Enjoy Nat
I tell myself there's only one thing stopping me from making my own bread, there's only me to eat it all. Your loaves look delicious, Bev.
Your bread looks delicious, I would be cutting off the end crust and lathering it with butter and a few light strokes of vegemite....yum!
The bread looks amazing, a wonderful byproduct of some yummy cheese....
Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Nothing like homemade bread. Delicious.
Ah, the smell of fresh bread cooking is amazing. I would make it only I'd eat the whole loaf in no time.
Ricotta is one of our old country national dishes, I used to make it, getting lazy. Really need to make it again..nice and fresh.
