Cross Stitch Easter Rabbit Freebie, Historical Places Place Mats, Homespun Magazine.

Hello,

Happy Monday,

I just had to stitch this lovely freebie that Laura provided on her blog. Just perfect for Easter decorating.

It was stitched on 25 count white evenweave with  Cartier Bresson thread in colour 498.  I used the red fabric that it is sitting on below the white cotton lace and for the backing. Thanks so much Laura for the little pattern.

I have finished one set of place mats that I have been working on and got them into the post on Friday.
They were of old buildings here in Western Australia.

The Post Office Northam
Town Hall Menzies

Railway Station York
Hotel Menzies
Bijou Theatre Esperance
Town Hall Kalgoorlie

I used some Nutex Fabric for the borders which suited the embroidery designs perfectly.

I picked up the April  Homespun magazine last week. After I had posted about making Beau's Bag the magazine contacted me as they wanted to put it in the Readers Showcase page.Pretty excited to see it in there.

I will take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Easter and if you are travelling stay safe. Hope the bunny hops into your place.

Happy days.
Bev C

That's a cute little bunny! Unique placemats, is it embroidery or printed on the fabric? Beautiful old buildings. Congrats on being featured in Homespun! Used to get the magazines here, but haven't seen any for months.
HAPPY EASTER!

Hi Bev,
Congratulations! I'm sure it is a great feeling to see your project in a magazine.
What a sweet bunny pillow. Really adorable.
Your placemats came out really nice. Love the fabric you used to frame images. That is another thing on my list, a new table cover or mats.
Thank you and may you and your family have a beautiful Easter.
Blessings,
Bobbie Lynn
