"Makes Me Happy Monday."

Hello,

Happy Monday,

Springtime is synonymous with the flush of wildflowers here in Western Australia. Last week on a day that the sun actually did shine we traveled to find some.

Where did we go to see these?

We saw all these stunning wildflowers and so many more at the Old Well at Dalwallinu.
There were so many tourists travelling around looking at the wildflowers and the picnic area in the centre of Dalwallinu was packed to the brim. We had a lovely chat to the lady who was volunteering at the little craft shop who told us the history of the building which was a old court house. It still has the judges bench and a cell which had a very realistic man laying on the mattress.

Have you had a chance to have a look at your local wildflowers?

Happy days.
Bev C

What a surprise to see all those people looking at wildflowers! We have some patches down at the beach with some wild grasses and a few flowers!

Morning Bev, I have heard so much about WA's wild flowers in spring. Will have to get there one of these years! We had a bit of sunshine here the last couple of days, but rains and wind came with it! Have a lovely week Bev - Hugs Nat

Beautiful wildflowers! Looks like a great day. I love looking for wildflowers along the hiking trails and bike trails close to our house. Most of them are dried now as Fall is here.

I agree! They are so pretty. We have had the chance to see the WA wild flowers only once, but loved it.

Lovely pictures Bev. We have autumn crocus and cyclamen flowering despite the drought - lovely to see the splash of colour against the dry ground. xx

The flower pics are gorgeous Bev, very pretty!
We drove through Dwellingup to Boddington on the weekend... not a lot of wildflowers to see, but really so heartening to see the rejuvenation after the March bushfires... So lovely to see the green shoots popping up between the blackened tree trunks & bare ground!

Right now the meadows are sporting patches of purple asters. Many more than we've seen in past years which I attribute to bush hogging the meadows this spring for the first time.
