"Makes Me Happy" Number 9

Hello,

Happy Monday to you on this first day of Autumn and a public holiday here for Labour Day. Yay Summer is over though I know we have some hot weather ahead of us in the next few days and probably more during the month. My "Makes Me Happy" this week is our pool. Ian and Lucy built this about two and a half years ago. It has been the best thing to be able to step out the back and take a dip. This Summer has been the hottest and driest on record-no rain. Temperatures well above 40 degrees Celsius
for days on end. So our pool has been my best friend even if sometimes I have only managed to get a dip in late in the day.I will continue to have a swim for the next month or so. So on this public holiday Monday I am going to go and have a swim before it gets to hot outside.
"Happy Monday"

Hi Bev, I bet we will still be having lots of hot weather yet and your pool does look inviting. Roll on winter. Kind regards, Anita.

Well you enjoy your swimming! I am not over summer, and it has been hot here too, I just love the simmer weather, and we haven't had a really great summer in Dunedin for along time, so I am happy to enjoy the Twizel summer as long as I can

How clearly I remember how much I loved my pool when I lived in Nth Queensland. I'd come home from work, grab two stubbies of beer and a book, strip off and jump in the pool, then stay there till dark! I'll be in Brisbane for two weeks from Sat so hope there is a bit of autumn weather on the way! :)

Your pool looks like a fantastic place to spend the holiday weekend Bev! Today was a shocker, huh? I even went swimming, which is a bit unusual for me :) Loved looking through all your recent blog posts...you've been busy!

It seems you have the same weather as we do here in So. Cal. Our falls here are just as hot and I really hope for a rainy season for you. Enjoy your nice cool dip in the pool before it gets too hot.
Happy Monday to you too Bev.

Blessings,

Hope this season will cool you down Bev. I remember March to June and September to late November as the 'lovely weather' months in Australia. Just beautiful. In three weeks spring will start here, my most beautiful time of the year.

What a lovely pool and so nice to be able to take a dip whenever you fancy - though I don't envy your hot hot summer - hope cooler days are on their way.

The Merry Go Around Quilt is fantastic. Love it. How wonderful to know your family history. Very nice indeed. Hugs Judy
