"Makes Me Happy Monday" number 34.

Hello,

Welcome to week 34 of "Makes Me Happy Monday". This week my topic is a mystery man we call "Mower Man".

"Mower Man" has been mowing in our street for the last couple of years. We have had no idea who he is,he just turns up and mows for hours. On Saturday he mowed the verge opposite our home. This verge is very wide, not your normal average verge. He did the whole lot on a normal mower, not some fancy ride on mower. "Mower Man" pushed for hours then he went up around the top of the cul de sac and mowed some more verge. Now I wonder if "Mower Man" has some desire to own a lawn mowing business instead of being in his present job!!! All I know is that "Mower Man" does a far better job than the council does. Thank you "Mower Man."

Have you got someone in your area like "Mower Man?" I would love to hear about them and what they do for your neighbourhood.

Happy Monday

Bev C

YES we have a lovely man 2 door down that look after the old lady lawns next door to me. My son chops her wood up for her so it is smaller. My DD put out her rubbish bin for her and I take it back in for.

I wish I had a mower man for my own yard! Our neighborhood doesn't have any common space, and the city employees do all the parks and boulevards. I love those cool mowers they ride on.

Yes we have the mower man coming every Monday to mow the nature strips on our street. Apart from that my own mower man does our lawn and nature strip when it needed. Thanks Bev - Hugs Nat

Oh lucky you! We don't have a mower man in our area, but I really wish we did :)!

I can't believe how many posts I missed, Bev! You have been working on some great projects and I love the 'non-project' pictures you show us!
Toilets ... they seem so normal. You make them special (o:
Mower Man. Well, we used to have our places filled with nice bushes, such as roses, lavendel, etc. Spring this year they decided to take them out (after I think 20 years) and they planted grass. Probably much cheaper. So we have one of those men, sitting on his mower, ready in no time, once a month. No more pretty pink roses to look at nor the lovely smelling lanvendel. All has to be cheap and fast.

PS: Guess what word verification I have to type: blessess. Probably for your mower man (o:

I wish I had a mower man Bev.. How wonderful for you though. He sounds so mysterious ha ha.... I have a neighbour that lives around the bend in our street and we've known each other for over `12 years. We have always looked after each others animals while the other is away etc. She regularly drops off fresh eggs for me and even if I'm not home, she leaves them on a chair near the front door. She is such a perfect neighbour and friend. Happy Monday to you Bev xx

That is nice. Well, it would be out city workers that cuts the grass at the neighborhood park. So I guess that kind of counts.

Well, we are bracing ourselves here In Southern California for some really hot weather. They say in some of the Valley areas can expect to see 108 degrees with humidity (double yuck.) Looks like an indoor day for Opie and I. Happy Monday to you too and have a lovely week.
Blessings,

How nice to have a "Mower Man" to keep your verges looking good.

That's wonderful. This summer I have noticed that both the county and the city have not done mowing on the same schedule as in the past. These governments have had to cut back anywhere they can to save money, mowing on a regular schedule just wasn't in the budget this year!

I love your mower man. We have a mystery tooter! I live on a major highway through a little town and a regular truck driver toots once or twice a week as he drives past. Maybe I have an admirer OR it's for the pretty young thing next door!

At our old house we lived near "Snow Blower Guy". Whenever it would snow he would get out his push blower and do the whole street! We loved him because we had a double lot! But since we both worked and he usually struck in the daytime hours, it too us a few years to figure out who he was.

How funny that is. An unknown mower man. Perhaps you send him over to me to do some weeding? Would he do that?
