Have you ever played Cowboys and Indians? Sometimes I don't really know who the bad guys are. Yesterday I received a phone call from two Indian men. They wanted details about my computer. I wasn't sure if they were legitimate or not. When they started asking for money to delete a virus which they said was on my computer. I got very wary. So to be certain of the state of my computer I took it down to be checked over. I was told they would have asked me to go to a certain page on my computer, which they did, apparently this page will show up files that have risks anyway. This page shows up with risks all the time. I was also wary that they said we had a lot of error reports in the last two to three weeks. This hasn't really been the case. Now I will have to wait to get the computer back. So if you receive a phone call that is a bit dodgy be aware. Also the other day I received an email with the subject line "Bronwyn Hayes" this was not from her at all. It was from some company wanting you to go to there website. So I am without a computer at the moment. I am using David's laptop while he is home. So If you received a posting with just the letter C in it it was from me,getting used to this fancy thing!!!!
I don't know when I will be back to do my next posting. I have found some orange coloured things around the home but am not sure if I will be posting on Friday for Colourful Friday.
So please watch out for those Cowboys and Indians.
Happy days.

Hi Bev, Sorry to hear about your computer. They are rotten things when they're not working. Hope it all gets sorted out. Kind regards, Anita.
Thanks for the heads up Bev! You have to be soooo careful these days. My computer has been playing up and getting a few viruses just lately, it's very frustrating. Hope you get yours back soon xx
Hope you get your computer back soon Bev.
Be back soon. I hope you get it sorted out by Orange Friday - Hugs Nat
Ha! I received an email this past summer from (supposedly) the president of the quilt guild. The email stated that she was somewhere in Europe (or Asia) and needed money. I emailed her back and asked if it was her or had someone hi-jacked her email. She did get back to me and said that someone had hi-jacked her email but I didn't see any apology in the guild newsletter or warning. I am trying to be very leery of emails and such.
Thanks for the tip. Too bad you had to go through so much pain to find out about it all, though.
I have been receiving mails on my hotmail from a foreign bank which is not my bank to check and do things or my bank account will be blocked. I have blocked them instead! Hope your pc is OK.
Oh WOW Bev these fella's will try anything... I have had them ringing about my Telstra home phone and giving the big long speel that seeing we rung a business from home we will be giving half price bills and blah blah blah with Telstra and at the end of it they tell you that your bills will now come from Telco?????? well lucky I thought they sounded dodgy and gave them no info... and the emails are getting worst from these ''cowboy and indians''............
Hope you get your computer fixed. I know how frustrating it can be. My Husband told me to be careful when I go on youtube and twitter (I have a few friends that have a twitter account. That is where people have attached some virus to. It's amazing that people find time to do things like that. Take care Bev
A narrow escape in true cowboys and indians style!
Hope you get your computer back soon, Bev. Strange how we become so lost without them.
Gee, if the "bad guys" would just put all that effort into a legit business, the world would be a much better place. I'm sorry to hear of your computer troubles, hope you're back on track soon!
Hello Bev, thankyou for the warning...cheeky blighters....you have to be so careful....Warm Regards Lyn
