"Postal Happiness, Blogging Etiquette and FNSI."

Hello,

Happy Friday. I had a wonderful time opening the parcels from the ladies in the Fat Quarter Birthday group. There were lots of lovely cards with the most appropriate pictures on the front. I keep all the cards I get from blogging friends in a floral tin vase in the sewing room.

From left to right, Cherryl, Helen, Maria.

From left to right, Christine, Lisa, Peta.

From left to right,  Fiona, Melody, Pat.

From left to right, Shez ,Sue, Lyn.

So a big hug to you all for your Birthday greetings.

Blogging Etiquette.

Every now and again I do a Google search of my blog name to see what comes up. Several times different posts have been stolen and put on other blogs. Why people seem to think that this is OK is beyond me. Don't they know the 7th Commandment is "You should not steal." Which got me thinking about people using images and the current laws regarding copyright. I came across this post about someone who had done exactly that with there blog.

It certainly makes for interesting reading.

Friday Night Sew In is on tonight, I am entrant number 88. Hope you can join us .It will probably be Sunday before I can post again with the results.

Happy days.

Lovely presents Bev. Thanks for the link. It is very disappointing when people take others work and lots of them just do not see the value or artistry in a drawing or photograph that came from your very own creativity. It will be nice to stitch with you tonight.

You are very welcome "from one member of the birthday club" !!!!

I always think of MY blog as a part of MY life...not someone else's.. so of course I would only show what is mine. What would be the point of showing what YOU made and claiming it??? Just don't understand that!!!
:(
Anyway EnJoY tonight!!! :)

Lots of great birthday goodies there Bev, enjoy!
As for the blog etiquette, that's an interesting read... I'm not fully understanding how to find out if stuff from your blog is being copied to elsewhere...
And really, in our circles of sewing/craft blogging, why would someone want to claim something as their own, when it isn't?! I don't understand *shakes head*

Lovely goodies :O) It is so sad some people have to steal in this way, there life must be non exciting, at least you have the real thing and can enjoy it, they can only enjoy the pics!

Wow....lovely presents, Bev!
I started blogging early this year and this is the first time I hear about certain people stealing pictures from others and claiming them as their's! I've read a few weeks back about someone copying the exact content/idea for revenue gain - thus the author of the blog has truncated her posts from there on.

Beautiful cards and fabrics! What lovely friends you have. I am amazed at that blogger who so blatantly copied. It can be so disheartening to people be so uncreative and cheat.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday and you do have some gorgeous cards and fat quarters.
On the other side it is a shame that people feel the need to steal.
