"Makes Me Happy Monday."

Hello,

Happy Monday.

There are some things that remain constant throughout my life. Each and every year I look forward to seeing the Dandelions bloom.

I think we are lucky to have this view only a minute or two from our home.

Even the smell of Dandelion's is so fresh. No wonder it blooms in Spring.

The bonus is the farmer will most likely put some sheep in here soon and we will be able to pick up some manure on our walks.

The Bees were certainly active which is a good thing. We need Bees to survive on this earth.

Plus I haven't forgotten how to make a daisy chain.

Have you made a daisy chain lately?

Happy Monday.

Beautiful scenery to live amongst and breath in! I don't think I've made a daisy chain since I was a little girl. How fun!

Yes on our recent holidays I discovered that these are dandelions. Our dandelions are no where near as pretty and are a dreadful weed...yours are beautiful!

You are lucky to gaze out at that wonderful paddock of dandelions. You make me want to make a daisy chain right now!

Did you know that your dandelions are very different to ours on the other side of the planet! Happy Tuesday. xx

Happy first day of autumn from up here in the north!
Nothing says spring like a field of dandelions. The ones I know are shaggy petaled flowers and produce a perfectly round globe of hundreds of white seeds arranged in a globe that are lighter than air, each with its own little parachute. We, too, weave the flowers together for necklaces, fairy princess head wreaths, and rub them under our chins to see if they leave some of their amazing color on the skin. This child's practice goes along with the question "Do you like butter?" Many people like to eat the greens (before the plants produce the flower) as a spring tonic. Out here in the country I am happy to see them for they provide such nectar for out pollinators. Soon the dandelions are joined by wild violets and the lovely purple flowers of creeping charley. The weedy lawn looks like a tapestry and spring is well under way. Enjoy.
