Hello,
Have you ever wondered how much people are willing to pay for a bucket of snow?
Apparently $5.00 is the going price. Everyone was having a lot of fun throwing snowballs.
Down at the
Winter Garden on the Fremantle Esplanade it was blowing snow. The real wind was certainly very cold the day we were at Freo.
The ice-rink was packed with skaters of all ages and abilities. Unfortunately they didn't have adult size penguins so I didn't have a go at skating.
Have a lovely weekend, keep warm.
Happy days.

Now that does look fun! Great idea for learner skaters having the ' penguins ' to hang on to! It's amazing how they can make snow isn't it? The local Harvey Norman store sets up a ski/toboggan run in their carpark just for one Saturday...kids and their parents come from mikes around! These school holidays they had snow in one of the parks in the city...not bad for a sub tropical city! Lol
This looks like great fun. I do love the penguins. There is also a rink set up here in Melbourne for the school holidays. perfect for the kids.
Sandra took the kids there on Wednesday. They had a ball until their friends was knocked down and had her finger run over. Nice mess. Poor kid.
Looks like fun. Hugs, xx
Looks like fun there Bev - love the penguins. My closest city, Hamilton, set up an ice skating rink in the middle of the city in a lovely area called Garden Place. Its school holidays here so can imagine how popular it is. Happy weekend to you Bev
what a great place to visit.
love those penguins too, so cute and practical.
Looks like a lot of fun, Bev. Love the penguins.
Oh would have loved skating with those penguins too....shame they weren't in our size. What good fun!
Great school holiday fun Bev!
Hello, Bev! Just love your blog and see that you are truly a kindred spirit. So many of my joys are your joys. You're now a link in my blogs bookmarks so I can visit often. Enjoy the winter break and best wishes.
That looks like great fun with the penguin 'helpers'! Thanks for your comment on my blog Bev.
Hi Bev, onions are cheaper than snow (appalling ). Lots of NSW areas surely got lots of snow this weekend. Hope you are keeping warm and enjoying some delicious comfort food during this winter. I must say winter this year has been really cold here in OZ.
thank you for visiting, hope you have a good week.
Hugs,
Aida
Hi Bev,
Looks like a lot of fun. : )
I did see your new tote and love the way all your scraps came together.
Have a Lovely day.
Blessings!
One of these skating rinks is in our local shopping centre for the school holidays. I think there is enough snow falling in NSW at the moment.
How much fun and cooling that looks right now!
That much money in Western Australia! 5 Bucks for a Bucket of Snow! Lucky country as they say....not quite the same in NSW where we have to be more careful with our money he he. I love those calico bags you made Bev, Earth if Forever my crafty friend. A big hug, Dolly
Wow, real winter comes to WA! I will pay $5 for snow on a hot day!
