Hello,

Welcome to Tuesday's Treasures.

This week I have something that belonged to me when I was little. My tea set.

My Tea Set.

I can remember having lots of tea parties with my Teddy and Dolls. The teapot was filled with either lemon cordial or water. The lid to the pot is missing and I am sure there must have been little saucers for the cups too. I can remember that there was a little floral decal on the side of the teapot. All our children have played with this little tea set along with nieces and nephews. So it has been a well used item. Presently it resides in a cupboard until the next generation of tea set users comes along. Have you still got your tea set?

I wonder what other Tuesday Treasure's have been taken out of cupboards today.

Happy days.
Bev C

How wonderful to still have this. I loved tea parties when I was little too. I'm still pretty keen on them now, if cake is involved.

I don't think I ever had a tea set. Tea parties had no appeal for me until I was 'all grown up' (a few years ago!) I must now be making up what I skipped over in my childhood, because I do love a tea party with the littlies.

What a delightful treasure.
I certainly do not have my tea set still, if I did I'm sure my son would have it buried in the garden by now.
Have a great week.

Lucky you to still have your tea set. I had a little china one but only have one saucer left. I think my little brother was responsible for the rest of it being broken. They are a wonderful toy for little ones.

It's a wonderful set and the missing pieces only add to the fact it was well loved and used. I can't recall having a tea set when I was little but I have treasured teapots from my mother-in-law now.

How cute is that and so nice you still have it , I am not sure if the tea set we used as children is still in my parents attic ,would be fun to find it there .

What a lot of happy memories must be tied up in that little tea-set. Drinking water was never as much fun as when it was poured out of a little tea-pot :0)

So lovely that it has been enjoyed by younger generations too.
