I hope you have made a great start to the weekend. Recently I have been in my sewing room seeing what really needs to be done. Not new projects. That pile that sits beside the sewing machine. One of these quilts in that pile has sat there for nearly one year. It has been moved from the pile to the back of the sewing chair. That is an important move. Because it means I really want to get it finished.
Now I was thinking a all over scroll or floral type of quilting should be used. I know it would look great for each individual block to get quilted but it all comes down to cost. I promise the next stage is to take it to the quilting lady.
Have you got some quilt tops that need finishing? I have about three plenty more so this is only the start.
Happy days.

It's great to catch up on things you've put aside. This year I was going to use my fabric stash as much as possible without buying new fabric. Let's just say I better try again next year.
Good girl I'm sure feels good to get some UFO's finished. I have been sending one quilt top a month of to my LAQ this year but I'm starting to lag behind need to get another top finished it's almost there!
That is lovely... the fabrics are great and I think the blocks look perfect.... I am also working on finishing off some where I have tops finished.....

There's a good sense of achievement when you finish something that has been put aside for a while. Love the fabrics. I have quite a few finishes waiting for me, too.
It looks fantastic well done on another near finish
It really is funky and brifht. Love it!
I have many many tops waiting to be finished! I think they could keep me busy the next two years!
PS: have a lovely weekend.
Hi Bev, It's nice getting stuck into your pile of material that has just been sitting there! I love the colours, they are funky. Kind regards, Anita.
I love the quilt top. Glad you have got the urge to finish it. It is much too pretty to stay folded in a cupboard or pile. I also have a back of the chair step with my projects :)
Love the quilt top Bev. I know what you mean about not wanting to cut up the fabric.
Now you need to move on to the next one. Sew do I. LOL
Have a great Sunday
Beautiful quilt! I love the bright, funky colors. I think scroll quilting would be perfect for this piece. I have two quilt tops that need to be quilted, and three quilts that need the binding hand sewn to the back. I just haven't made the time to work on them! Enjoy your weekend!
A great way to show off those beautiful prints. Happy sewing. : )
Hi Bev...lovely new header you have there...and good looking quilt!!! Yes I do have some quilt tops that I am in various stages of doing...and it all just snuk up on me...one day I was doing cross stitch...then stitcheries...now I seem to be doing a little bit of all of them...not to mention starting more ha ha!!! So happy to hear I'm not the only one with lots of unfinished projects. This is a lovely quilt, so bright and modern looking. Good on you for getting it to the top of the pile!
Oh Bev, you should see what I have to finish! Was just about to post about the same!! Maybe we can finish things together, thousands of miles apart!!
"The quilting lady " we all have one of those along with those ---- unmentionable ---- that sit in a box or basket. Sometimes it just looses momentum to get things finished there are so many blogs with so many beaut thngs that you just have to have a go at.
Oh it's lovely Bev! May I ask, who is your quilting lady?? I need to take my Midwest Moderns quilt to be done but have never had a quilt professionally done before so need to find someone!
Have a good week and stay warm, looks like the rains are back!
Hugs
