Hello,
Well there has been no sewing here at Kainga. I do plan to make a quilt label tomorrow if that counts. Lots of other things have been keeping me busy though.
On my morning walk on Monday I decided to walk in the paddock up behind our place and out of the corner of my eye I saw a huge mushroom. I had to backtrack a bit to go back through a gate and hop over the fence that didn't have two rows of barb wire fencing to get to them.
These mushrooms are huge, bigger than my hand spread out. Of course we had only purchased a big bag of them at the farmers market the day before. So lots of dishes with mushrooms in this week.
Not doing any sewing I have been kept busy with doing a jigsaw.
Lucy is doing this one, of the Banff National Park which is a World Heritage Site in Alberta Canada.
While I am doing a Wasgij Puzzle. These puzzles really test you out as the picture on the box is completely different from the finished puzzle.
It doesn't look like anyone can come for dinner or afternoon tea for a while with the coffee table and dining table taken up by puzzles.
Meanwhile outside with the lovely rain we have finally been receiving the garden is loving it. This garden path always gets filled up with blooms, the poppies will be in full bloom in a week or so.
These little daisies come up everywhere now, so pleased with plants like this. They are a welcome addition to the garden.
The flowering Prunus are in full bloom again. I love the pink snow they create on the ground.
I do have a finished item to share but that will have to wait to next time. It is a gift for someone very special and I can't wait to give it to the new owner.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the week, anything special planned at your place?
Happy days.
